Hi, I'm Sian.
My career journey started amongst the hard hats of Rio Tinto and Anglo American. After relocating to London I specialised in the global technology industry, identifying and hiring world-leading talent for Facebook, Instagram, Google, Expedia and founding the global talent function at award-winning startup Unruly.
My experience spans the retail, mining, professional services, not for profit, startup and technology industries. I've identified and hired the world's top digital talent, from intern to executive, accounting to software engineering, start-up to tech giant, across Europe, Middle East, USA and Asia Pacific. I've got deep knowledge of what it takes to be hired and successful at the world's leading companies. You can connect with me on LinkedIn here.
After returning to Brisbane, Australia, I founded Milkshake Group (The name? It's a long story...) in 2016 and work with Australian startups - with particular focus on those ready to start scaling - wanting to build and implement world-leading talent strategies.
What I do.
I help start-ups identify the right people to hire to make the biggest impact, make their brands attractive to world-class talent, and ensure once hired, their top talent wants to stick around for the long haul. Some of the things I focus on include:
I work predominantly with the Founders and/or advisors of start-ups which have reached global or national scale-up stage, and also partner with larger Australian companies on niche talent strategy projects.
